As the owner of one of the largest private practice CRNA groups in the country, and as a principal and single largest shareholder in an anesthesia billing and
consulting firm I understand the economic challenges which confront CRNAs and
the practice of anesthesia. To be sure, the fundamental drivers of anesthesia
practice will change. Payers will be pitted against providers as well as provider
against provider.
To navigate these uncertain times, our leadership must not be quick to make
either or decisions; instead seek to understand problems as a whole, including
all the factors that may not be immediately obvious. Only then can we resolve
tensions among opposing forces and generate innovative solutions.
Having built a large anesthesia practice management firm, employing physicians
and CRNAs, and holding exclusive contracts with over twenty centers, I have the
experience and proven leadership ability to guide our association in these
uncertain times. |
